If you are looking to gain living space - perhaps to increase the size of a kitchen or to create additional space for a growing family - then a ground floor extension could be the perfect solution.
There are many creative ways of extending the ground floor of your property without compromising the size of your garden.
By using materials such as glass bi-fold doors creatively, and bringing light into a room and your garden into your living space, you can achieve an increased perception of space and a sense of outdoor living. Two or more storey extensions
A two storey extension could be the perfect way to add value to your home; dramatically increasing the floor space of the property and adding useful living space to different floors.
These extensions generally come out at the side or rear of your property, and can be a useful way to conserve your garden. Adding a loft conversion would provide even more space.
Loft conversions
Loft conversions can be an economical way of adding considerable value to a property via light and airy additional bedrooms and extra bathroom facilities.
Whilst not all properties are suitable for this type of extension, we can use design tricks, such as dropping the ceiling of the floor below or creating extra long dormers to make a loft conversion work.
There is an added advantage that you can continue to live in the property whilst the work is going on.
Remodelling internal spaces
Sometimes simply redesigning the interior of your house without building additional space, can make your house your dream home. A change of flow, increased light, better storage and moving walls are just a few of the changes that can be made.
Planning permission is not needed for remodelling, but if walls are being removed or moved, building control may be needed.
